Best hummus in town and delicious food in general

As many other guests have already written, I felt the same: self-service, quantity and quality unfortunately do not match the prices in my opinion. The falafel were cold and dry, the hummus wasn't seasoned enough. A second pita was of course extra and took almost 10 minutes to come, although only one customer besides me was currently waiting for food. It's a shame about the experience, I was really looking forward to the visit.

little hidden gem in a small passage in the middle of Freiburg with delicious vegan food - falafels are great, but the tahini is super delicious!! also the pita bred is nice. The homemade lemonade is a nice touch - which is sugar free ☺️ the personnel is friendly and it is also dog friendly place, which is always a plus! highly recommend it!

For a few years now, we've always been going to Edo's Hummus when we're in Freiburg and it's delicious every time! Simple but varied dishes and the house lemonade is also highly recommended!

Delicious food simply without words! I would like to have this oriental experience more often.

I took the hummus teller at 12 euros. It wasn't bad but expensive for a piece of pita, a bit of hummus, three little falafels and a bit of artichokes that didn't taste like artichokes. Still hungry afterwards. Not bad, then, but average value for money.

Not only the nice restaurant staff was the big hit during our visit, but also the good flair. The restaurant is really very tastefully decorated. No cheap decoration, instead there was a lot of very nice color matching. I can really recommend the restaurant! My siblings and I were there too together and each of us ordered something different, what concerns me, I can say I have one of everything Cost little and everything was good.

Not overrun. Nice self-service restaurant. Impresses with the small details. There is an air-conditioned indoor area and outdoor seating. The food is great! Fresh, tasty, good portions and not expensive! If you want to try something different, this is the place for you, just worth a visit!

Falafel Delicious but much too small (I've never seen such a mini portion of 200 falafels). Hummus and Tahina delicious. What doesn't work is convinience salad out of the bag, especially with the very high prices for the portion sizes.

Eat: **** Food offer very simple, but very tasty and quickly prepared. Personnel: ***** Staff very friendly. The menu and the menu will be explained on request. Service: **** Corona regulations are largely complied with. Tables are disinfected regularly. You take the current situation seriously. Ambience: **** Simple, functional, but very cozy. Price-performance ratio: **** Good price for good food.

Vegetarian plate: loveless salad without taste, sometimes too thick lumps (beetroot) ... eggplants had a strange taste. Falafel hardly edible because it is too dry. Hardly any hummus on the plate. Finally, you have to separate the dishes, cutlery and small bowls instead of simply placing them on the trolley. Ambience very nice, but much too expensive!

I have been eating here many times and am absolutely satisfied. Price / performance is right. Food was always delicious. Hummus to fool. Sometimes just come to take something for home or my guests. Young friendly team. Always worth a visit!!

Hummus is the name of the game here. Many Vegan options. dont miss it.

Great shop! Delicious and healthy food in a cool location. There is automatically a drink for Hummus Teller. I do not know what it was, but I wish it were everywhere ? And as if that was not enough, it's also cheap ????

Very nice location and very delicious dishes that you can upgrade with toppings. Everything is done very lovingly. Like so many restaurants in Freiburg not so cheap, but worth it!

Good Falafel and great Sabich sandwich. Hummus however could be better. The place is sparkling clean and the staff is always very welcoming.

Israeli restaurant with Arabian food I can’t complain to be honest the falafel sandwich was ok the restaurant is clean hummus wasn’t the best I rated as an average restaurant

Vegan dishes like falafel or hummus are highly recommended! Highly recommended is in any case the Hummusteller with lentil salad;) atmosphere is suitable and the people at the service very sympathetic :)

The falafel are good, I have tried many hummus and this is ok, not the best. The shawarma plate comes French fries, and the chicken tasteless. The staff is very friendly

Brilliant to get something vegetarian without cheese in Germany! Staff were great even with our broken German and the food was surprisingly filling! Recommend for something a bit different food wise!

Tasty falafel pita, but really overpriced for what you get. Also inconsistent quality, as our two pitas came out completely different sizes — possibly due to the owner having a very loud conversation with his staff telling them that they shouldn’t fill the pitas so much...

The best food in Freiburg!!!!!

Humus and falafel were good but not top notch either. The restaurant is unfortunately a bit hidden (in a passage), there are some nicer locations in Freiburg. If you like to eat humus, you should stop by here.

Fresh and healthy food made by an experienced chef. Clean like a pharmacy and smiling staff. Very good experience. The Humus is better then in Israel !

Not more than nice

Hidden away from the street, is a place maybe one time go. Hummus was okay but don't expect original tastes. Price is alot for the little quantity. Ambience is not bad though.

My favourite in Freiburg

The hummus was ok-it was said like in israel and there i have to disagree.It is not as a creamy and it doesnt have the flavour.the tahini doesn t taste like sesam nor anything. The falafel was very small,the lentil salad/salads were without any dressing.The israeli salad was strangly with carrot slices and huge cut pieces of cucumber and tomates.Normally an israel salad are tiny cutted cucumbers and tomatos with parsley-which mixed gives this amazing fresh juicy salad.The fries were oversalted.Well and the pita - where flat not fluffy.the price for the quality way to much.the stuff was nice,the atmosphere is alright but misses something cozy and characteristic. All in all i wouldn t go there again nor tell friends to try this place.

The food is great. But service can be slow at times, especially with the cold dishes. And their drinks selection isn't great either, they only have the worst kind of beer. There's not a lot of tables, it's got no decorations to speak of. I'd rate it lower if the food wasn't so damn good. Rather pricey, but worth it. Try a dish with za'tar! And stay away from dishes that aren't all about the chickpeas.
